Introduction

What’s up guys? This is David Hoang coming at you from supplementsuperhero.com, coolest website on the planet. Just kidding. Not really, kind of.

But anyways, today in this video I’m going to be talking about The Rock diet or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his diet to get super buffed, super ripped for his various movies like Moana, Jumanji… all right, the Hercules.

Hercules came out a couple of years ago. But The Rock’s been… If you don’t know who The Rock is, he’s a famous celebrity. He became really famous through pro wrestling WWE, which I’m kind of a big fan of.

And now as a famous actor, one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. And lately over the past several years, he’s been getting a lot of attention because of his body and because of how much he eats and how much he works out, how hard he works.

The Rock Eats A Lot!

So, this is the shockingly honest, shockingly simple truth to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s diet and exercise and body.

So, the main thing is he eats a lot, right? He eats a lot and he’s known for having a high caloric intake. The dude is like 200 plus pounds. He’s 6’5.

Of course to stay jacked and stay big and stay ripped, he’s got to take in a lot of calories. On average, he’s taking in about 5,000 to 7,000 calories a day. So again, 5,000 to 7,000 calories a day.

At the time I’m filming this video, The Rock’s actually 45 years-old. So I mean the dude’s old, I mean I guess relatively old. He’s in his mid 40’s but looks phenomenal and one of the secrets is taking in a lot of calories.

Early To Rise

He says he starts his day typically really early in the morning. He wakes up at 4:00 AM and then he starts at, I mean he likes waking up at 4:00 AM he says there’s something, like, something special about waking up at 4:00 AM.

He wakes up early in the morning. Then he starts his day with some caffeine. He doesn’t drink coffee though.

Okay, so for all you coffee drinkers, he does not actually drink coffee. Sorry to disappoint. But he takes in the caffeine from, like, pre-workouts of some sort of, like, citrusy powder of some sorts.

Like he’ll mix it up, he’ll drink it, he’ll make his caffeine intake fun, make it taste good, and then he’ll do some cardio.

So, from 4:00 to 4:30 or so, he does some sort of cardio workout. And, my guess is he does the cardio to help boost his metabolism a bit, help burn fat and just boost that metabolism consistently, and keep his metabolic rate consistent.

His Meals and Workouts

And then, throughout the day he eats a lot of calories. He’ll have multiple meals throughout the day.

I mean, I think his meals, the number of meals, the number of calories, what exactly he eats is going to differ from movie to movie that he films.

But, from the research that I did, it’s anywhere from, like, five to seven meals a day. And this is kind of an example of one of the… about his usual routine that he gives in one of his interviews as an example of his daily diet.

So for his first meal, as an example, he’ll eat about 10 to 12 ounces of roasted potatoes along with eight to 10 ounces of grilled sirloin. Alright. And, about four to six scrambled egg whites.

And then, after he’s eaten that first meal of the day, then he’ll go to the gym and do some strength and conditioning training.

On average, he works out a couple hours a day, like an hour, 45 minutes or so per day. So nothing too intense, nothing too crazy or rigorous, but consistent, consistent hour, 45 minutes to two hours a day.

So again, starts off his day waking up at 4:00 AM, eats some caffeine, does some cardio, and then has his first meal and then after the first meal he goes and hits the gym.

Then, the next meal he’ll eat like eight to 10 ounces of grilled chicken, followed by one and a half cups of white rice.

And then third meal of the day, he’ll eat 10 ounces of bison. I’m not 100% sure if he is serious, but I’m pretty sure he’s serious when he says 10 ounces of bison (oops, meant to say grilled chicken), then one and a half cups of white rice and then salad with some balsamic vinegarette.

Fourth meal of the day, he’ll eat like 10 to 12 ounces of it. Excuse me, burping because I’m talking about food…10 to 12 ounces of chicken salad with coconut oil, celery, onions, and then 10 to 12 ounces of roasted potatoes. And then he’ll also have another salad with that meal.

And then, final meal of the day, fifth meal of the day, he’ll have 10 egg whites, 3/4s cup of oatmeal, and then a scoop of peanut butter.

Extra Tips and Ideas

And then he tries to, kind of, keep the carbs at a minimum before bedtime. And also he drinks a lot of water throughout his dieting. He’ll have, like, two and a half to three gallons of water per day.

So, if you’re looking to lose weight, or, I should say, looking to bulk up, looking to get fit and look fit, drink a lot of water, two and a half to three gallons a day is what The Rock ingests.

And one interesting thing that I found out too is that he eats a lot of cod, like fish. So just in cod alone, they say he eats out a thousand calories a day of cod. Right.

So, for the specific example that I outlined, there wasn’t a whole lot of… I mean, cod in that, but from other sources, they also say that he eats a lot of cod per day.

And one interesting fact as well, that you might want to know, is that he… In one interview I watched, there was a lady that asked him, “What food can’t you live without?”. And he said pizza.

So, somewhere in his diet he also eats pizza. And from what I’ve heard, at least for certain roles, he would eat a lot of pizza. To just to keep up the high level of calories because you would burn them off so fast.

Conclusion

So hopefully that helped guys. Again, I think this diet is isn’t exactly perfect because I think his foods and his dieting and his routine will vary from movie to movie to movie.

But, hopefully that gives you some good insight into some of The Rock’s basic success habits and some of his basic dieting for success. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.

I mean, how do you feel about The Rock’s diet? Does it inspire you? Does it demotivate you? Does it make you jealous? Let me know in the comments section below.

Also down below, pinned at the top of the common section, there is a link that goes to the CrazyBulk website.

It’s a really cool website where you can get a lot of bodybuilding supplements, weight loss supplements, a lot of really cool supplements, steroid alternatives, alternatives to steroids, I should say.

As always, guys, thank you so much for watching this video. Have a fantastic day and as always, Supp It Up.
